It's also very efficient computer resource wise. The video contains following samples for each VST: Bass notes, middle and hig. At first, I wanted to include Garritan CFX, Pianoteq and Waves Rhapsody as well, but I finally I realised that it would be too long. No multi-mic options like the Garritan CFX (or real, full sustain pedal down samples – the Ivory pianos sustain & sympathetic resonances are modelled I believe, based on samples) but Synthogy captured a natural soundstage with the American D which isn't too wide, is very flexible in shaping your sound, and handles external reverb very well as mentioned above. I decided to prepare a short comparison of my 2 favourite piano libraries. Far more alive sounding than the original Ivory Grands (German D, Bosendorfer & Yamaha C7) and pretty flawless as a playing experience.

After much deliberation, demo listening and reading so may glowing reports about the Ivory American D released a few years ago (2012 I think), I bought a copy running in the Ivory 2.5 engine and it's brilliant. The Ravenscroft Model 275 has unparalleled dynamic response. 1 many years ago when first released, and although it was a real breakthrough at the time, the following years saw a rapid development in sampled/virtual pianos from other developers which in my opinion Ivory struggled to keep up with (including V.2). The Ravenscroft 275 is a stunning recreation of arguably one of the best pianos in the world.
